PROJECT ARCHITECT
We are looking to grow and strengthen our team of professionals in our Long Island office with the addition of a Project Architect
.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor and/or master’s degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited university preferred
Licensed Architect or near completion of licensing examinations
Minimum 5 years’ experience in architectural design and technical execution
Proficient in Revit for commercial architecture, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite,
Thrives working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Is a great representative of the firm to our staff, clients, consultants, contractors and other industry partners
Is an effective leader, a positive influence on the project team, fosters a collaborative team environment
Is self-directed, accountable and proactive, but not afraid to ask questions and seek guidance
Demonstrates high attention to detail, and high problem-solving skills
Demonstrated experience with construction means and methods, building systems and detailing
Experience with planning/entitlement, building permit, local or state agency review, and other various agencies as may be required.
Has strong organizational, communication, time, and relationship management skills.
Can earn the trust and respect of all those he/she works with.
Contributes to the team and is eager to listen, learn from others.
Has the ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of a client’s program, requirements, standards and policies for incorporation into the design solution and documents
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team production leader on smaller architecture projects, or one of multiple project architects on larger projects.
Oversee the production of SD, DD and CD technical documentation
May be assigned the Revit model manager
May be a project manager & production PA on smaller project, flexible and willing to accept any assignments.
Primary firm contact and representative of firm for project consultant coordination
Lead existing facility evaluations and documentation
Perform code analysis and documentation
Coordinate sustainable design best practices, or more in to every project
Participate in or lead bidding and construction phase services
May travel throughout the region for project assignment responsibilities
SALARY: $80-120K
