Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Accounting Analyst to join our growing accounting team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting by applying your in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and complex transactions. You will collaborate with senior accountants and other departments to research, analyze, and implement accounting standards for various financial activities.
Responsibilities:
- Apply US GAAP and relevant industry accounting standards to complex transactions.
- Research and analyze emerging accounting pronouncements and their impact on the company's financial reporting.
- Prepare detailed technical accounting memorandums to document complex accounting treatments.
- Assist with the monthly and year-end closing processes, including journal entry preparation and reconciliation.
- Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Partner with internal audit to ensure adherence to accounting standards and controls.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.
Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 3-6 years of progressive experience in technical accounting within a corporate environment.
- In-depth understanding of US GAAP and strong analytical skills.
- Experience with accounting research databases and strong research capabilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with accounting software systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Working knowledge of IFRS.
- Experience in a publicly traded company or national public accounting firm.
