Litigation Attorney - Trenton, NJ

Role:
The litigation attorney will be responsible for representing clients in legal proceedings, such as trials, hearings, and arbitrations. You will specialize in handling cases that involve disputes between individuals, businesses, or government entities.
Key responsibilities:
- Conducting legal research to analyze the laws and regulations applicable to a case
- Drafting legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda
- Representing clients in court proceedings, including presenting arguments, examining witnesses, and cross-examining opposing witnesses
- Negotiating settlements and plea agreements on behalf of clients
- Issuing legal opinions and providing advice to clients on their legal rights and options
- Managing and overseeing the discovery process, which involves gathering evidence and conducting depositions
Qualifications:
- PA and NJ bars required; NY bar a plus.
- 5+ years of experience
- Insurance coverage experience a plus
Compensation:
- $130-170k depending on experience
- Bonus
