Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Technician
Our client is actively in search of an experienced Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) technician. This full-time permanent staff position will primarily involve geophysical/electronic location and designation of subsurface utilities. The ideal candidate should be prepared to work in the field, performing both utility mark out (locating, subsurface utility engineering) and geophysical surveying activities.
Requirement:
- Ideally two (2) or more years relative SUE experience is preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of utility systems and layout
- Electromagnetic locating equipment operation
- Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) operation
- Experience working with vacuum excavation
- Experience with relevant electronic equipment for video inspection
- Ability to read & understand survey drawings, construction plans and blueprints
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability & willingness to learn how to operate new equipment
