Staff Accountant - Law Firm - Chicago - Hybrid - $70-85k
Growing law firm in Chicago is currently seeking an experienced accounting professional with 1-2 years’ experience. A hybrid work schedule is available!
Description:
The Staff Accountant will handle various financial tasks for the firm. This includes preparing financial reports, invoicing, and managing the firm's budget.
Primary Responsibilities:
Preparing and maintaining financial records including expenses, receipts, and invoices.
Reconciling bank statements and internal financial data accurately and effectively.
Booking journal entries to record transactions for accounts payables, accounts receivable, and deposits.
Preparing timely and accurate financial statements for internal management reviews and audits.
Creating budgets and forecasts for law firm management.
Maintaining contact with vendors and resolving any accounting-related issues.
Performing other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar position, ideally in the legal services industry.
Strong working knowledge of accounting software, specifically Quickbooks.
Experience with billing practices of a law firm is preferred.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Dependability and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Possess a desire to grow and develop professionally.
