Estimator
One of the leading Commercial Glass & Glazing subcontractors on the east coast is looking to hire due to an uptick in business. We need who can step in day 1 and do quantity take-offs for building enclosure components, including curtain wall, store front and entrances, stairs, rails, and metal panels. A good working knowledge of how glazing systems are priced and assembled is necessary.
Job Description and Duties:
- Significant experience bidding glass projects accurately and on time.
- Experience working for a glass contractor (curtain walls, store fronts, and canopies).
- Experience estimating interiors-stairs, rails, etc.
- Perform detailed material takeoffs.
- General Cad knowledge is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Negotiate prices with vendors through quotations for material to optimize job costs.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
This is a full time/permanent position with good medical, vacation/sick, and 401k.
