LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and plan outdoor spaces, ensuring functionality, sustainability, and aesthetic appeal.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, translating them into innovative landscape designs.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for proposed projects.
  • Stay updated on local and state regulations related to landscape architecture and ensure compliance in all designs.
  • Manage and oversee the implementation of landscape projects, coordinating with contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct site analysis and assessments to inform design decisions and recommendations.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools to create accurate and visually appealing plans.
  • Provide expertise on plant selection, hardscape elements, and sustainable design practices.
  • Work closely with project teams, including architects, engineers, and environmental consultants, to ensure seamless integration of landscape elements.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in landscape architecture.
  • Represent the firm in client meetings, presentations, and public hearings, showcasing the firm's capabilities and expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
  • State licensure as a Landscape Architect in North Carolina.
  • Proven experience in landscape design and project management.
  • Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of plant materials, site planning, and construction detailing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design principles and LEED certification is a plus.
