Job Details:
My client is well known mechanical and plumbing contractor in the commercial and industrial area of focus. They are actively seeking an in house Project Specialist to join the admin team. The
Project Specialist is to work with Management Teams, Field Staff & Field Supervisors to assist in controlling and guiding mechanical projects from conception to completion, while monitoring compliance with G.E. Mechanical quality and safety standards and all applicable regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain multiple project schedules
- Work with field supervisors to schedule project personnel & material deliveries
- Provide administrative, sales, and estimating support to your division/projects
- Execute purchase orders and materials procurement for projects
- Direct communication with customers & vendors
- Submittal tracking and submission
- Coordination with outside contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors
- Create bid folders and load customer information and project information on bid documents and estimate templates
- Complete material/labor quantity take-off
- Perform site visits/field surveys for project
- Estimate/Manage assignments within accepted proven professional mechanical guidelines (MCA/PHCC/AIA)
- Provide continuous improvement of customer service in terms of scheduling, real-time on-site performance, customer new installations, replacement quotations, and overall customer service
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience: 2 years administrative experience in construction industry or related trade OR 1 years' experience in Jr. project management and/or estimating in construction, mechanical, or related industry
