Job Details:
Highly respected, national engineering firm is looking to add an Environmental Scientist/Engineer to their team in their Cleveland, OH office!
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, relevant Engineering field or Geology.
- More than 5 years’ experience with performing ASTM/AAI compliant Phase 1 and 2 ESAs, along with other subsurface investigations. (Including but not limited to site visits/inspections, research, conducting interview, review of data and/or interpretation and writing reports)
- Must have OSHA 40-hour certification and a valid 8-hour refresher course.
- Experience in Michigan and Ohio a HUGE plus.
- Must have the flexibility for 20% overnight travel- project dependent.
- Experience with the planning, coordinating, and oversight of contractors for various subsurface investigation projects pertaining to Phase 2 ESAs underground storage tank removals and remediations.
- Must have experience conducting a multitude of sampling projects such as soil, surface water, groundwater, soil vapor and stormwater.
- Must have experience with NEPA, CEs, EAs and EISs.
- Must be able to fully complete Tier 1 level technical reviews of a multitude of environmental assessment reports, workplans and other documentations pertaining to the environment.
- Must be a team leader; willing to teach and mentor younger staff!
