Job Details:
My client is a Fortune 100 company that is involved in the Energy Management , Fire , Security and Building Automation industry.
As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will:
- Assist with the commissioning of new fire alarm systems on construction sites documenting commissioning details; communicating deficiencies and progress
- Assist with testing and inspecting of existing fire alarm systems
- Plan work with mentor, Lead Technician, and Team Leader
- Complete commissioning within planned timelines
- Submit accurate time and expense logs
- Work overtime when needed
You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Level 1: 1+ years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems
- Level 2: 5+ years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems
- Must be able to differentiate types/colors of wire; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
- Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 1 within 12 months
- Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for employer-based sponsorship now or in the future
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred
- Ability to read/understand design and construction documents
