Legal Billing Clerk - Law Firm - Philadelphia - A hybrid work schedule is available with this opportunity!
The Legal Billing Clerk is responsible for assisting with the billing operations of the law firm This individual will ensure that clients are billed in a timely and accurate manner and that the firm's accounts receivable are properly managed.
The specific duties of a legal billing clerk will include the following:
- Reviewing and preparing bills for clients, ensuring that all charges are accurate and complete
- Responding to client inquiries related to billing or account balances
- Resolving billing disputes or discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date billing records
- Processing payments and posting transactions to client accounts
- Generating financial reports and statements
- Assisting attorneys and legal staff with budgeting and forecasting
- Perform account reconciliations.
To be successful in this role, the Legal Billing Clerk should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong attention to detail and organization. They should also have good communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
Prior experience working in a legal billing or accounting role in a legal setting is preferred.
Prior experience with legal billing software such as Elite Enterprise, 3E or Aderant is preferred.
