Application Engineer – Jr. Sales Engineer - Estimator
A local firm is looking for multiple engineers or construction related candidates who are interested in the HVAC industry ( recent grad ) working as an application engineer, with a passion for becoming a SALES ENGINEER. This position is very technical and requires excellent communication skills as you will work directly with customers -
Responsibilities depending on position.
- Review bidding documents including mechanical plans, specification, contract documents.
- Handle HVAC equipment selection and pricing, technical writing of proposal, and developing cost analysis spreadsheets for bidding.
- Communicate with equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and mechanical contractors for clarification for sales engineers, application engineers and project administrators.
- Experience in the HVAC industry related to estimating or willing to learn
- Familiar with HVAC Systems, air distribution products, and/or Temperature control
- Prepares proposal and pricing break downs while evaluating equipment savings/costs.
- Assembles bid files, including all development information, in customer relationship management (CRM) system to prepare estimate.
- Responsible for the cost estimation of Air Distribution equipment and systems related to assigned bid opportunities.
