Accounting Manager/ Controller
My client is a well-established Building Automation Controls Contractor looking to add an experienced Accounting Manager/Controller to its talented staff.
This position will include compiling and analyzing financial data, complying with accounting and financial regulations, and provide transparent and complete reports to management. This position will require a firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations and possess strong computer and verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end financial accounting close, and provide comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
- Maintain control and accuracy of the general ledger to GAAP
- Compile percentage of completion revenue recognition from projects
- Ensure adequate internal financial control procedures are in place and that company complies with all local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations
- Implement budgeting, forecasting and planning, to ensure proper resource allocation and provide financial analysis and strategy recommendations to management
- Cost accounting - analyzing project and manufacturing costs, as well as company budgets and expenses
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable processes
- Oversee human resources functions
- Interface with the companies banks and insurance providers, and ensure proper insurance coverage is maintained
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in managerial accounting
- Knowledge of and experience in the Construction Contractor business
- Strong Integrity and accountability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CPA preferred, not required
