Job Details:
My client is a renowned leader in process and control technology for the global foundry and chemical industries in search of Field Engineer. . Duties include commissioning new equipment, technical support and troubleshooting of existing equipment, communicating the status of equipment to internal Simpson departments and its customers, as well as performing telephone support for Field Service.
Required Education:
- BS Engineering, Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
- Technical course work covering the following: mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic principles
- Coursework and demonstrated ability to work with PLC’s and HMIs.
Required Skills:
- The ability to read PLC diagram/schematics and edit/troubleshoot such equipment
- The proven ability to work independently in the field while interdependent with headquarters
- Knowledge and operating ability of PC’s and PC applications such as Excel and Word
- The ability to travel extensively (50% - 80%) via auto and air throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia
