Job Opportunity: Controls and Instrumentation Engineer - Permanent Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Instrumentation & Controls Engineer for a permanent position in support of instrumentation design for process industrial plants. As a Controls and Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for proposing and implementing required instrumentation to optimize plant operations. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 4 years of recent experience in developing controls systems encompassing PLCs, HMI, wiring, sensors, and P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams). Additionally, you will be involved in developing proposals and specifications while ensuring compliance with safety standards and client requirements. This role will also involve preparing detailed specifications for contractor bidding, hiring, and construction, as well as coordinating and participating in plant construction, commissioning, and start-up.

Requirements:

  • US Permanent Residency or Citizenship is Required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in developing controls systems for process industrial plants.
  • Strong background in PLCs, HMI, wiring, sensors, and P&ID development.
  • Experience in developing proposals and specifications, adhering to safety standards and client requirements.
  • Proficiency in coordinating and participating in plant construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop controls systems consisting of PLCs, HMI, wiring, sensors, and P&ID documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and client specifications during the design and implementation phases.
  • Prepare detailed specifications for contractor bidding, hiring, and construction activities.
  • Coordinate and participate in plant construction, commissioning, and start-up, providing technical support as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, contractors, and operations personnel.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure the functionality and reliability of control systems.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in controls and instrumentation technology.
