Insurance Defense Attorney

The Insurance Defense Attorney will deal with three categories: ensuring policyholders are protected if they are sued, helping people determine when insurance must pay a claim, and making sure insurance companies are complying with applicable regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
• Case evaluation: Reviewing insurance claims and assessing the strength of the case against the insured party.
• Client representation: Representing insurance companies and policyholders in court proceedings, including trials, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Legal research: Conducting legal research to gather relevant case laws, regulations, and statutes to support the defense strategy.
• Claims investigation: Investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding an insurance claim to determine its validity and legitimacy.
• Defense strategy development: Developing a strong defense strategy based on the facts of the case, legal precedents, and insurance policies.
• Documentation: Preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, legal briefs, and discovery requests.
• Communication: Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance adjusters regarding the progress of the case.
• Compliance: Ensuring that their defense strategies and actions comply with ethical rules and professional codes of conduct.
Overall, their primary goal is to protect their clients from paying out excessive claims and to defend policyholders against potentially fraudulent or exaggerated claims.
