Construction company looking for an CFO / Controller with experience in the construction field. We are looking for someone who can run the accounting department and also has the skills to help our operations managers with estimates and budgeting for jobs.
Skills & Responsibilities include
• Manage accounting department and work load
• Responsible for full accounting and financial reporting
• Develop internal reporting calendar
• Perform audit, in conjunction with outside CPA firm, on financial statements
• Prepare for tax filing
• Responsible for accounting and payroll software system
• Ensure accounting transactions are in compliance with GAAP
• Monitor work in process reporting
• Monitor percentage of completion reporting Corporate Controller Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 5 years’ experience in lead accounting role
• Strong knowledge of valuations of material and labor costs
• Perform take-offs and job costs with operations managers
• Master knowledge in Quickbooks • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
