Accounts Payable Specialist - $50-65k - Center City!!! Hybrid schedule!!
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable process, ensuring that invoices are accurately processed and paid on time. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Process invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving reports
- Review invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Obtain approval for invoices and document any discrepancies
- Maintain a system for organizing invoices and payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Perform check runs and initiate electronic payments
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any issues
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all transactions
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare reports for management as required
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or similar role
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze data
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage, preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
