Job Details:
Maintenance Electrician PLC Technician
Program, install, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic equipment machinery in a manufacturing setting.
Experience programming, installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical and electronic equipment. Experience in an industrial production manufacturing environment. Apply and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLC) as necessary for new and existing machinery equipment. Use personal computer for working with PLC, small programmable relays, stepper motor drives, weighing systems and other equipment. Safely troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic/electric, and hydraulic/electric circuits with and without the benefit of electrical schematics. Must have a good knowledge of electrical codes and regulations. Ability to design simple relay/timer circuits, troubleshoot lighting apparatus and motor control circuits, hook up electrical motors (AC, DC, Frequency Drive), install and troubleshoot electronic variable speed drives. Ability to generate schematics for plant electrical equipment. Work from wiring diagrams, schematics, or sketches to assemble developmental electronic control units. When necessary, work on electrical and electronic equipment without the aid of circuit drawings or manuals. Experience inspecting electrical and electronic equipment; to detect faulty operations, diagnose and remedy equipment breakdown. Experience Maintaining and installing electronic components, lights, motors, and switches, run conduit to new locations, service electrical, electronic, and electromechanical systems.
Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is a plus.
