HVAC Service Sales/Estimator
Philadelphia Area HVAC mechanical contractor is looking for a skilled HVAC Service/Sales Estimator.
The primary responsibility for this position is to support the service team by compiling information for the creation of estimates for service work and replacements of industrial/commercial mechanical systems within the Greater Philadelphia Area market. Day to day tasks include providing timely estimates to customers and follow up for approval and respond to customer inquiries. The estimator utilizes service recommendations, customer requests, material and manpower requirements to compile detailed cost estimates and a well-defined scope to submit bids to customers and secure service work
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in HVAC & plumbing service work is preferred
- Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct, and manage all aspects of the estimating process
- Ability to work with the customer to find solutions to difficult issues
- Prior estimation experience is a plus but not required
- Effective organization skills and attention to detail
- Problem solving skills and “can do” attitude
- Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Requires basic math and accounting skills in organizing estimate information
- Ability to maintain, build relationships with local vendors and sub-contractors.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Computer skills in Word, Excel, estimating, CRM database programs.
- Willingness to learn and be a part of a team
- Positive attitude
