My client is an internationally known Construction Management firm seeking an Electrical Project Manager in construction for a very high profile long term project!  

MY client is seeking an Electrical Engineering Project Manager to manage all electrical construction projects in HV and LV for a heavy civil construction project.  

Job Description:

  • Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
  • Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies.
  • Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

BS Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering/Construction Management and 8 years of demonstrated experience in the installation, oversight and management of electrical projects inclusive of High and Low voltage projects such as substation installation in a heavy civil construction environment or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education     

Preferred requirements:

  • BS Electrical Engineering.
  • 5 years of electrical experience in heavy civil construction.
  • Experience with various construction processes such as subcontractor management, scheduling, sequencing, submittals, and construction contract administration.    
  • Experience in construction project controls, planning and scheduling.
  • OSHA 10
  • Electrical and High Voltage/Low Voltage and substation experience.
  • Experience with downstream electrical processes and remediation.
  • Experience in the oversight of installation of electrical systems.
  • Experience with projects in excess of 30 MM.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize information in a concise manner and to make recommendations on strategies to resolve project issues.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills and the ability to apply appropriate communication techniques to various individuals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and other construction related computer programs.
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and job-related documents.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
