Senior Financial Data Analyst

The Senior Financial Data Analyst will be the spokesperson for the Accounting/Finance teams and the liaison for the IT department. Reporting to the Director of Finance and working alongside the Corporate Controller, this person will be responsible for providing insight on trends and commercial reporting, KPI’s, performance analysis, analyzing financial information, reporting, operational analysis, and supporting the cost management team for business analysis projects. This is a highly visible opportunity that will make a huge impact on this already growing organization.
Responsibilities:
- Work cross functionally with IT, Accounting, Finance departments
- Monitor and coordinate activities to support operational performance management
- Research and provide statistical financial and operational information
- Deliver back-end reporting to track price and margin realization
- Deliver variance analysis to determine performance drivers
- Track, maintain, analyze and provide current information on the operation's business scorecard or key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Participate in the month-end close process, including reporting
- Develop and organize performance reports for both internal and external use.
- Contribute to the development of short-term and long-range business planning
- Performance Analysis to deliver insightful variance analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant discipline
- 2+ years of accounting
- MBA preferred
- Must be technically sound - Strong familiarity with different ERP and CRM databases
- Flexible thinking, proactive and self-starter
