My client in a top notch international MEP Consulting engineering firm. They are actively seeking a Senior HVAC Mechanical Engineer to be a Team Leader for a growing HVAC Mechanical Department. HVAC Mechanical with their PE would be best fit.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the technical development of large and complex projects in Commercial, Government, Healthcare or Science and Technology market sectors
- Effectively develop and manage project designs from initial concept through design documents, construction documents and close-out
- Develop component and system level criteria based on project requirements
- Collaborate and coordinate with other trades
- Should have a knowledge of technical terms and be able to have a good rapport with outside partners
- Manages and mentor’s members of the Engineering Team
- Continuously improves the Team’s deliverable quality, communications, attitude and efficiency
- Project team organization and management
- Project delivery requirements and steps which include client management and interactions
- Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Familiar with local and national building codes
- Subject matter expert in engineering software for design, documentation and coordination software (e.g. Trace, Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD)
- LEED accreditation preferred
- Commitment to sustainability is highly preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET school is required, Master’ preferred
- PE License required
- Minimum of 12 years’ experience designing HVAC systems in high performance buildings
- Experience leading HVAC teams on technically challenging projects, working in dynamic team environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to make decisions
- Understand industry trends
