Primary Responsibilities:
In conjunction with the Preconstruction Manager, this individual will assist in managing the preconstruction process and subcontractor procurement process. This includes management of multiple construction projects from concept design through operations mobilization.
As an Assistant Preconstruction Manager, your primary responsibilities include:
Assist with compiling budgets and bids for renovation projects
- Review project documents for constructability and clarity of scope.
- Secure bid participation.
- Write subcontractor scopes of work.
- Level subcontractor bids.
- Compile budget qualifications
- Organize, and manage the RFI and Value Engineering logs.
- Complete meeting minutes for Owner and designer meetings.
Assist with subcontractor procurement
- Create material tracking logs
- Assist in creating contract exhibits
- Secure best and final offers from subcontractors
- Negotiate final subcontracts
What You Bring To Us:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management/related field; or similar practice/training
- 5+ years of managing projects as a General Contractor. Ideally with specific experience with Multifamily Renovation projects
- Ability to review construction documents and delineate scopes of work to the appropriate subcontractors
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information to external clients/audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook), Bluebeam, Procore, and Primavera P6
