Senior Property Tax Accountant
Role:
Reporting up to a Senior Manager of Tax, the Senior Property Tax Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the organization's fixed asset tax returns. This would include performing tax audits, tax compliance, analyzing assessments, processing tax bills/payments, appeals, abatements, etc. This person is really the point of contact and subject matter expert for all property taxes.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Senior Manager of Tax to ensure that Property Tax are filed for the organization’s fixed assets (equipment, site locations, etc.)
- Assist with property tax audits and compliance
- Prepare and file property tax returns, abatements, applications, etc.
- Perform reporting and work on several projects
- Review and Analyst property tax assessments
- Support M&A projects to help project costs
- Work with outside agencies to property value properties as well as tax liabilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- 3+ years of prior public tax accounting or progressive corporate property tax experience.
- Ability to interact with all levels of professionals both internally and externally
