My client is a fortune 100 electronics and aerospace company. They are actively seeking an electrical engineer with embedded, electronics design, and validation. Additional duties include:

  • Manages and drives to completion all or some phases of a product’s development lifecycle with minimal supervision.
  • Provides design leadership, coaching, and support in the effective use of engineering practices to analyze, specify, design, document and test products.  
  • Analyzes customer requirements and performs detailed electronic design, troubleshooting, validation, and qualification of power, analog, and digital circuits.  
  • Has strong grasp and experience with Aircraft Electrical Power systems, system architecture, component power supply design, and aircraft control and instrumentation systems.
  • Creates and analyzes detailed microprocessor and EPLD-based systems design.
  • Helps define new products and assist with solutions for customer problems and issues. 
  • Prepares technical proposals and cost estimates.
  • Supports manufacturing during prototype builds and product transitions to manufacturing.  
  • Knowledge of and experience with DO-254, DO-160, DO-178 and Airbus ABD100 preferred.
  • Prepares for and performs qualification testing to meet customer and FAA requirements.
  • Works cooperatively in a design build team environment.   
  • Must be personable and possess good communications skills, both written and oral. 
  • Visits customers, participates in design reviews, and makes technical presentations.
  • Embedded and test software experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience 
  • Works cooperatively in a design build team environment.   
  • Knowledge of and experience with DO-254 and DO-160 preferred.  
  • Experience with ST ARM-based and PIC Microchip processors is preferred.
  • Experience with hardware and protocol aspects of I2C, SPI, RS485, CANBus, ARINC 429, and Ethernet is preferred
  • Software skills in C, Visual Studio, MatLab and familiarity with DO-178C are preferred but not required.
  • Possesses good communications skills, both written and oral, and is comfortable presenting before an audience.  
  • Estimated Travel 10-20%
