Job Details:
Seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with a background in structural design for power & utility projects.
Job Duties:
- Manage projects related to structural design
- Manage, assist and guide engineering team including project engineers, drafters, and other essential personnel
- Create proposals and budgets
- Monitor, assist and sign off on designs for assigned projects
- Check calculations and specifications from work of other engineers
- Create designs using AutoCAD and other design software
- Calculations
- Visit client/construction sites to monitor and oversee work, and discuss questions/concerns with the client
- Preform structural investigations
- Maintain deadlines and budgets
- Commute with other company departments as needed
- Generate written reports
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineer with a concentration in Structural Engineering
- 5+ years of work experience as a Structural Engineer
- PE license in PA
- Strong knowledge and understanding of industry codes, standards and regulations
- Structural experience in the utility and power industries
- Understanding of structural construction
- Structural design experience using AutoCAD and other drafting software
- Ability to travel to client/construction sites as needed
- Strong communication and people skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Some supervisory experience
