Senior Estimator- Sitework / Site Development
Excavation- Heavy Civil- Civil Construction- Sitework- Site Development
Our site work/site development contractor client is actively seeking, an experienced Senior Estimator for a full time permanent staff opportunity within the Greater Richmond area.
Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Ensure bids, estimates, budgets, and jobs are timely
- Perform quantity take-offs and turnkey estimates for sitework/site development heavy construction projects (commercial sitework, heavy civil projects, heavy highway/roadway construction, mass earthwork, excavation, underground utilities etc.)
- Providing an estimate for job cost to process, document acquisition, subcontract and purchase order setup, project scheduling, change order pricing and negotiation, contract administration, job cost review, billings, collections, project meetings and project closeout.
- Heavy highway /Sitework construction practices, techniques, and principles.
- Estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
- Industry estimating software experience
Qualifications:
- Minimum of eight (8) + years’ experience as an estimator within a site work/site development contractor, heavy civil construction company, a heavy highway/roadway/bridge construction contractor
- Experience in developing cost estimates, quantity take-off’s, turnkey estimates, and schedules
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- BA/BS degree
- Must possess strong communication skills written, electronic and verbal
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and related programs
- Stable work history
