CIVIL ENGINEER – LAND DEVELOPMENT
Our client an excellent Civil Engineering professional consulting firm based in the local Dallas-Fort Worth area is actively seeking an experienced land development civil engineer.
Civil Engineers with an active Texas PE certification or EIT individuals tracking towards obtaining this are sought.
Applicants will have at least five (5) or more years’ experience specifically in civil land development projects providing engineering and design expertise for projects relating to commercial, municipal, residential, roadway design (water, sewer, streets, drainage, earthwork, site layout, utility design, and grading).
- Manage multiple projects to design various types of developments
- Manage design teams to develop construction documents for the successful completion of projects
- Develop strong relationships with clients by providing quality product and service to ensure continued success of projects
- Coordinate with owners, contractors, and design consultants to develop comprehensive and consistent construction documents
- Construction assistance including answering contractor’s RFIs, reviewing material submittals, project site visits and regular meetings with the contractor and owner
- Supervise and guide (EIT’s) Engineers-in-Training toward professional development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree a plus.
- Approximately 5 years of related expertise managing similar projects
- EIT, Texas Professional Engineering License a plus
- Maintain, as well as build, presence and leadership in land development industry through involvement in civic, professional and business organizations.
- Candidates must be adept at working collaboratively while building strong working relationships with our clients and staff members.
- Consistently demonstrates professional demeanor, appearance and attitude.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills are required.
- We seek a well-organized, self-motivated candidate with an ability to prioritize, manage time effectively and work both independently and within a team environment.
