Senior Tax Accountant
Role:
Liberty Personnel Services in working with a financial advisory firm to help assist in their search for a Senior Tax Accountant. This individual will be reporting to a Tax Manager and responsible for fully cycle tax responsibilities. The financial advisory firm works with small to mid-sized businesses owners as well as high net worth individuals to help with their tax preparation, tax planning, tax guidance across individuals, trust and estates, business, high net worth and gift tax.
Responsibilities:
- Work with clientele to identify tax liabilities and any credits.
- Prepare trust, estate, gift, business, and individual returns
- Work with clientele to ensure all returns are filed correctly, resolve any issues or complications, and ensure best possible outcome
- Research tax policies, concepts, changes, etc.
- Assist internal advisors on new tax implications, changes, and recommendations
- Work with Tax Manager to help improve processes, streamline processes, and/or special projects
- Help mentor junior staff
- Work with the team and independently
- Special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required
- Certifications are preferred. (Enrolled Agent or CPA)
- Prior experience with 1040 returns
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Knowledge and/or working experience with estates, trusts, gift tax, etc.
- Ability to work with all types and levels of professionals, great communication skills
- Proficient in excel
Working Conditions:
This can be a mainly remote position. However, the company does require one day in the office from February to April.
