Job Details:
Senior Technical Accountant
Role:
As a Senior Technical Accountant, this person will be reporting to a Director of External Reporting and responsible for assisting with the preparation of SEC filings, financial and regulatory reporting, as well as SOX compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Manager of Technical Accounting and Policy to help the team prepare the organization's SEC Filings (10-K / 10-Q)
- Prefer accounting functions that are specialized around incentive based compensation. This would include financial statement preparation, disclosures, reporting, and assisting with closing the books.
- Work cross functionally with consolidations, corporate decision support, and financial analysis
- Assess and help implement or update internal controls, standards, and efficiencies
- Special projects and/or ad hoc projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of relevant auditing or public accounting experience with publicly traded clients and/or within a publicly traded organization. Would consider someone with corporate SEC experience
- A completed CPA or progress towards is highly preferred
