Job Details:
Field Service Technician
You will upgrade older machines and install new ones at customer locations along with:
Modification of machine control programs including, but not limited to, PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, robotic systems, and motion control systems, etc. Knowledge of motion control systems including servo motors, stepper motors and drives. Modification of panel layouts and wiring schematics. Travel to customer sites to install new machines and troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and programming on existing machines. Train customer personnel in the setup and use of machines. Assist in the development of improvements to machines through field work. Ongoing training as needed to keep you up to speed on current electrical and programming standards.
Must have:
Working knowledge and hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assembly as well as the ability to operate machine and hand tools. PLC and HMI programming skills with special emphasis on Allen Bradley. Excellent communication skills and ability to relate to customer needs. Ability to travel domestically and some 1-2 times a year internationally 50%-75% of the time. While not travelling you will work a hybrid model 4 days a week. Valid driver’s license. Passport required. Reliable transportation.
