Tax Manager
80-110K and 30% bonus
A rapidly growing and well respected advisory firm is looking to add a Manager of Tax to add their resource team. As a Manager, you'll lead and grow a team of Tax professionals advising small to middle market organizations as a Tax Advisor these clients. Ultimately, helping them run their businesses effectively. Essentially, you'll act as a mini Tax Leader / Tax Manager consulting the business owners on tax implications, tax strategies, due diligence, research as well as resolve complex issues, developing the long-term strategic plans, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Hire, lead, manage, mentor and grow the tax advisory team
- Prepare individual (1040) and trust returns
- Perform tax analysis, tax strategies, tax research, negotiations, and any other related tax services
- Build future relationships, foster relationships with current clientele as well
- Work with the Tax Partner as well as client leadership/executives to establish a long-term strategic plans for the organization
- Special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required
- Master is tax is a plus not required
- Certifications are a plus
- 5+ years tax provision experience. Preferably a public tax accountant out of a mid-size to large national firm and/or large corporate tax background
- Ability to work some weekends during busy season and not afraid to get your hands dirty if needed.
