Job Details:
Maintenance Mechanic.
Both 1st and 2nd shift open.
1st shift 6am - 4pm
2nd shift 4pm to 12am
A leader in food manufacturing, has an immediate opening for a maintenance mechanic..
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment while following food safety standards.
Essential Functions: - Complete daily, weekly, and monthly PM's. - Troubleshoot machinery, correct, adjust, repair, or replace equipment. - Responsible in maintaining proper cleanliness and organization in maintenance shop. - Oversee that all facility equipment is functioning properly. - Must follow proper safety procedures such as lock-out/tag-out programs. - Responsible for keeping all tools in proper sanitary and working condition. - Must maintain frequent verbal communication among all staff and lead small meetings. Foods Safety Expectations: - Maintain proper sanitation of tools. - Monitor all processing equipment for proper working condition. - Help maintain organization of duties and responsibilities among mechanics to ensure that GMP's, food safety, and quality procedures are followed. - Monitor completion of PM's.
Required Experience: - 2 years of maintenance experience. - Knowledge of preventative maintenance controls (food production maintenance preferred). - Welding experience preferred. - Must have basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills (high school graduate preferred). This position often requires making frequent decisions on the flow and management of product while understanding food safety requirements.
