Assistant Project Manager- Highway Construction
Heavy Highway Construction- Road Construction- Civil Construction – Site Construction
A premier heavy highway/heavy civil construction contractor is actively seeking a Project Engineer/ Assistant Project Manager for a full time permanent staff roll, focused on highway & road construction.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in engineering, construction management or related field desired (not required)
- ~ (2) Two or more years of heavy civil/site work construction experience; (Highway/Road Construction)
- Professional credentials – PMP Certification, Engineer in Training (EIT), or Associate Constructor (AC) is a plus
- The ability to effectively communicate in written and spoken word.
- Understanding and agreement of the importance and necessity for safety on the work site
- Understands the sequencing of work and the strategy of creating effective project schedules
- Understands project cost control and change order management
- Understands means and methods for highway construction
- Detail oriented
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Must possess effective communication skills written, electronic and verbal
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and related programs
