Environmental Health & Safety Specialist (Construction)
Our client an excellent construction company is actively seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Officer to conduct site safety inspections, audits, and trainings.
- Ensuring the company is conducting business in accordance with all aspects of OSHA, MSHA and DOT compliance and documentation
- Managing all communications with other federal and state and local government entities regarding safety issues.
- Conducting investigations on accidents and related drug screening
- Testing effectiveness of site emergency response plans
- Establishing and maintaining health and safety communication, and responding to workers’ safety concerns
- Collaborating with Superintendents, Project Managers, and other key staff to ensure special safety considerations addressed.
- Overseeing completion of new hire Safety Training and setting policy for issuing company safety citations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in a HSE/Safety role within the construction industry.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- HSE/Safety certification a plus.
