Job Details:
Finance Manager
The main function of the Finance Manager is to supervise the day-to-day financial compliance operations of externally sponsored awards related to invoicing, financial reporting, and financial closeout. It is expected that this individual have excellent time management and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the maintenance and forecasting of financial performance through the collection, consolidation, reporting, and analysis of financial data
- Monitor, analyze, and make recommendations to improve departmental processes, procedures, and use of resources
- Collaborate and develop strong relationships with business leaders to set action plans to achieve annual operating plan
- Assist in preparation of projections, including quarterly projections
- Ensure that Accounting Policies are implemented and accurately applied and in accordance with GAAP
- Conduct annual performance appraisals and address any performance issues immediately and directly
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years working in an accounting or finance role
- Master's or CPA is preferred
- 2+ years of management experience
- Desire to grow the internal culture of team, lead in hands on analysis
- Proven communication and presentation skills
- Driven individual able to motivate full time employees
