Job Details:
National consulting engineering firm wants an experienced Electrical Engineer to add to their talented staff!
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design power, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunications plans including all associated circuitry, details, one-line diagrams, and specifications.
- Perform system design calculations, load calculations, arc flash & fault current, lighting, and any other calculations required to support electrical design.
- Prepare electrical Construction Documents including drawings, specifications, and reports for buildings (in retail, office, multifamily residential, healthcare, and institutional market sectors).
- Report writing and specification preparation.
- Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects.
- Attend meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues with them.
- Manage a project, work area or technical skill set, monitor quality of work, and is involved in client liaison.
- Assist in the procurement of work; manage multi-disciplinary project teams including client relations and team motivation.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, and a demonstrated capability for analysis and strategic thinking.
- Strong initiative—the willingness and ability to succeed in a collaborative, team-based environment.
- Ability to multi-task with multiple projects in order to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of National Electric Code and International Building Codes.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years professional experience in electrical system design and engineering
- EIT/PE highly desirable
