Controls Engineering Estimator - Material Handling/Parcel
Elite automation firm seeks Controls Engineering Estimator with experience in the Material Handling and/or Parcel industry.
Responsible for the estimating and concept engineering related to automated control systems:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Bill of materials development
- Interpret project specs
- Network architecture/diagrams
- Estimate hours for hardware/software design
- Develop formal proposals
- Experience in control systems engineering and estimation for start ups, commissioning of the following facilities is a plus: FedEx, Amazon
- Material Handling, Conveyors, Sortation, Parcel and similar industries
- Bid meetings, site walk throughs (light travel 5%)
- Technical writing proficiency
- Knowledge of contract documents and terms and conditions
- Experience in PLC & HMI programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting across major platforms
- Client interaction skills
