Cost Accountant
The Cost Accountant will be responsible for analyzing and developing standard costs, bill of materials and assist in developing the annual budget. You will work closely with manufacturing and business units to perform margin analysis, as well as understanding circumstances and how they impact the financial results.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the month end close process, maintaining the accuracy of inventory account balances, inventory costing, transfer pricing and internal controls
- Apply standard overhead and labor cost to all new parts and configurations as needed; resolve related issues
- Calculate labor and overhead rates for fiscal year with mid-year updates and assist with the annual budgeting and mid-year reforecasting process
- Perform annual cost update of all active parts
- Control, monitor, and report on inventory valuation and production variances
- Cost support including analysis on standard cost of product, margins and inventory within North America
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of cost accounting experience
- Excellent analytical skills with a sound understanding of accounting principles
