Corporate Tax Counsel
Role:
As a Tax Counsel, this person will be responsible for providing tax counsel to leadership in regards to tax implications, tax transactions and tax planning to help assist both U.S. and Americas business leaders as well as managing a team of tax professionals. This would include tax planning for M&A, capital investments or projects, transfer pricing, etc. This role will lead the domestic tax practices but also heavily interact with foreign subsidiaries across the Americas as well.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the CFO, VP of Tax and other c-level suite professionals in regards to all tax functions within the United States and Americas. This would include tax planning, tax implications, corporate structuring, M&A, transfer pricing, capital projects, etc.
- Conduct research on tax consequences of business transactions
- Be a strategic leader for all tax controversies
- Draft and perform provision documentation for business contracts, deals, etc.
- Work cross functional with other tax, legal, accounting, finance, and human resource professionals
- Manage a team of tax professionals; hire, train, mentor, develop these professionals
- Special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Law is preferred. Master’s of Law or JD required
- 8+ years of progressive tax experience within the BIG4 or a Fortune 1000 organization
- Prior experience managing a team of tax professionals is required
- Certifications are highly preferred
Working Conditions:
This will be a hybrid working situation with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remote. Vaccinations are being required.
Compensation:

Travel:
0-10% both domestic and international. In 2022, there will be minimal travel.
