Data Engineer MS/ PHD
Research Engineer – Mathematical Computation
Desired Qualifications:
An MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics.
Experience should include the development of numerical methods, and data analysis algorithms and/or continuum and rarefied simulation models, and integration of models within large-scale simulation.
Proficiency in current methods of mathematical modeling .
Experience with multi-processing and multi-threading programming, shell scripting, Unix command line tools
A track record of written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills.
Additional Factors Considered:
Post-degree work experience.
Post-Doctoral work is desirable and counts towards work experience.
Experience programming Python, C, NumPy, Cython, SQL, Git
Experience in the development and execution of software on a variety of serial and parallel platforms, in particular on Linux UNIX platforms.
