Financial Risk and Controls Manager
Role:
As a Financial Risk and Controls Manager, this person will be reporting to the VP of Accounting and Finance and responsible for the finance and accounting management processes including collecting the data, processing the data, and then presenting the financial data to business leaders, operations, and executives. You'll own the process, lead the workstream, design processes and procedures, implement standardizations, perform metrics, and evaluate the future of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Act as an owner of the finance and accounting management processes.
- Lead workstreams as well as teams to leverage these projects
- Design processes, procedures, implement standardizations, etc.
- Perform close, consolidations, financial reporting
- Create performance metric and present information to the executive teams, business unit leaders, operations, sales, etc.
- Evaluate the business current state as well as future
- Develop relationships using metric-drive service excellences
- Drive continuous improvement projects
- Maintain documentation, create procedural and training guidelines, identify future technology improvements, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required in Accounting or Finance discipline; Master's or MBA is a plus but not required.
- CPA is required
- 5+ years of prior corporate accounting within a mid-size or large corporate accounting team within a manufacturing or similar industry
- Prior public accounting experience is a huge plus as well
- Prior SOX experience is key
- Prior experience with Risk evaluation and mitigation
Working Conditions:
This will be a remote position through the end of the year. This will have the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week after COVID.
Compensation:
