Job Details:
National consulting engineering firm wants an experienced Mechanical Engineer to add to their talented staff!
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical systems including heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and water distribution, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation and controls.
- Perform system design calculations, load calculations and energy modeling.
- Select equipment for use in building systems.
- Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects.
- Attend meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues with them.
- Manage a project, work area or technical skill set, monitor quality of work, and act as a client liaison.
- Assist in the procurement of work; manage multi-disciplinary project teams including client relations and team motivation.
Knowledge and Skills:

Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, and a demonstrated capability for analysis and strategic thinking.
- Strong initiative—the willingness and ability to succeed in a collaborative, team-based environment.
- Ability to multi-task with multiple projects in order to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong fundamental understanding of ASHRAE and International Building Codes.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 7+ years professional experience designing HVAC systems for commercial/institutional building projects.
- EIT/PE highly desirable.
- LEED accreditation highly desirable.
