Job Details:
ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER
Summary:
Collaborate with project manager and superintendent to build according to plan and specifications
Contribute to estimating efforts – take-offs, subcontractor bids, material pricing
Review and understand the Project Estimate; develop and manage cost control and document control procedures for each project
Read and manage plans, specifications, contracts, purchase orders, shop drawings, submittals, RFI logs and other project related documents
Collaborate with Superintendent to manage construction process. Regularly walk the project to review performance. Take appropriate and timely action to remedy any deficiencies. Bring all field issues to the attention of the Superintendent or Project Manager
Assess subcontractor proposals and schedules for accuracy
Work with Superintendent to maintain job site quality control and safety
Requirements:
2-4 years construction industry experience
Multi-family, wood frame residential experience highly desired
Ability to read and interpret construction documents (drawings; specifications; geotechnical reports; etc)
Excellent communication, team-building skills and detail follow through
