Job Details:
My client is a well regarded Building Automation and Energy Management company. They are seeking a Building Automation Project Manager who has come up through the field and install side and can do fast tracked non-union Project Management of small commercial projects. They will be responsible to install, program , troubleshoot and provide project management for these type of projects. Duties include:
o Responsible for the planning, execution, and completion of fast track control
systems projects. Fast track projects are identified by the BAS Manager and will
typically be jobs less than $50,000 with limited programming and wiring
requirements.
o Responsible for fast track project execution including project management,
electrical installation management and all BAS software requirements including
programming and graphics. Provides accurate project as-built and commissioning
documentation. Task will include 100% of the project management, the majority
of the BAS programming/graphics. Wiring will be handled by this position,
internal wiring resources or subcontractors based on the decision of this position.
o Communicates directly with project clients on project status, scheduling and any
other project related situations.
o Responsible for the profitable execution of assigned projects and ensuring that
they are done accurately, on-time, billed within budget and within scope of the
contract.
o Responsible for the overall financial results of assigned projects including: costs,
project billings, and collections.
o Manages costs, billings and collections. Completes project billings in a timely and
accurate format to the client. Maintains profitability goals and positive cash flow.
o Provides work direction to any additional subcontractors, electrical installers,
technicians, designers, and administration as necessary. Provides direction on
material ordering for the projects assigned.
o Evaluates the contractual scope of work and the impact of client issued bulletins,
field directives and / or scheduling changes. Actively pursues additional work
through change orders.
o Analyzes financial reporting systems and project schedules to proactively address
potential problems. Effectively communicates project progress, issues and
financial status to management as required.
