General Ledger Accountant

Role:
As a General Ledger  Accountant, this person will be responsible for general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, oversight of payables and receivables, assisting with month end close, accruals, and ad hoc projects to help the business. Reporting an Assistant Controller, you'll work with a team of accountants on the general ledger but also help with process improvements, help drive initiatives, interface with technical accounting to help assist with new accounting policies, review controls, etc. This is a highly visible and interactive role within the organization that can offer great growth potential!

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general ledger accounting: journal entries, reconciliations, month end close, etc.
  • Work with the Assistant Controller with process improvements, implement controls, and improve efficiencies
  • Assist and review expense reports
  • Be a specialist within financial systems in order to improve reporting
  • Perform revenue recognition and reporting
  • Perform and generate reports for operations, field personnel, other corporate accounting teams, etc.
  • Research and documentation on any accounting policies, controls, and changes
  • Assist with accounts payable, receivables, and other day to day accounting transactions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required in Accounting or Finance discipline
  • CPA or progress towards is a plus
  • 2+ years of prior corporate accounting within a mid-size or large corporate accounting team
  • Prior public accounting experience is a huge plus as well

Compensation:

Working Conditions:
This position is currently a remote position. It will be an in-office position later this year with some continued flexibility. This position can be permanently based out of a Center City Philadelphia office and/or Center City Wilmington Office.
