Financial Project Controller
Role:
As a Financial Project Controller, you'll be reporting into a FP&A Manager acting as a sole contributor but managing several multi-million or billion dollars ground up construction projects that focus on manufacturing plants or industrial applications. This person will be working with Project Directors, Operations and Engineering to manage the projects financials. This would include revenue, costing, risk, controls, contract oversight, cash flow, hedging, as well as project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the financials of a portfolio of several multi-million or billion dollars ground up construction projects
- Monitor and enforce policies, procedures, improvements, decision support, etc.
- Responsible for all financial reporting for large scale projects
- Evaluate risk throughout the life of the project
- Work closely with accounting, treasury, financial reporting, etc. to evaluate financial performance or large-scale projects
- Perform percentage-of completion, hedging, cash flow recognition, revenue recognition, etc.
- Influence and drive project and cost improvements
- Work with the bid process and opportunities
- Be a Finance Partner to Project Engineer and construction
- Participate in monthly meetings, stakeholder meetings, divisional project meetings
- Ah hoc / special projects as needed.
- Manage, train, & mentor divisional finance team
Travel:
5-10%
Working Conditions:
This will be a remote position through September. This will be an office position post September but will have some work from home flexibility. Due to the visibility of this position, it will require most time being in the office. This position can be based in Houston, Tx or Pennsylvania.
Compensation:

Qualifications:
- Executive MBA or master’s degree is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or similar discipline is required
- 4+ years of progressive professional growth with prior experience managing large Industrial construction projects from a finance or accounting perspective
- Prior engineering, construction, manufacturing, or global manufacturing experience is a plus. EPC (engineering, procurement, and Construction) experience is preferred
- Prior experience with a large ERP system is preferred (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Strong problem solving, critical thinking, business acumen, and/or driven by challenges
