Job Details:
Principal Generator Product Engineer
Role:
As a Principal Generator Engineer, this person will be responsible for product development, product competitiveness of oxygen and hydrogen generators as well as a subject matter expert for operations, (IT) technology, engineering, procurement in order to help manage strategies through execution. This position is a key liaison and cheerleader to help the overall organization understand hydrogen product development plans, strategies, growth targets, market trends, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Be a key advocate for hydrogen and oxygen generation product development by working with business leaders to help drive product development strategies and programs
- Manage product development budgets, timelines, projects, etc.
- Drive targeted initiatives and monitor their progress by analyzing metrics
- Work closely with operations to help them understand product development, logistics, operating fleet, maintenance, etc.
- Set priorities, set targets,
- Implement improvements - costing, work processes, scheduling, etc.
- Work with outside vendors and customers to provide input on product bids, customer meetings, specifications, etc.
- Work cross functionally with operations, procurement, technology, sales, etc.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required in a mechanical or chemical engineering discipline.
- 5+ years within oil & gas, chemicals, or air separation
- 3+ years of prior experience performing product development of generators
- Prior experience leading products from development through execution
