Full Job Description
My client is seeking a Quality Control Analyst to proactively support the daily operations of the pre-funding, post-closing, and adverse quality control functions. You will be responsible to ensure the company’s conformance with agency, private investor and client specific lending guidelines, in addition to regulatory compliance requirements.
You will support the QC program to assure that the quality control process occurs in a timely manner and that areas representing potential operating deficiencies, errors and omissions, patterns or trends, intentional misconduct or fraudulent activity are documented, reported, investigated and promptly corrected.

Primary Responsibilities
Perform the pre-funding, post-closing, and non-originated quality control function utilizing agency and investor guidelines in addition to federal, state, and local regulations.
Follow company’s quality control policies and procedures, workflows and system training guides.
Assist in creating timely quality control reports internally.
Assist senior management with the development, implementation and monitoring of corrective action plans to address and resolve findings discovered during the quality control process.
Work with the QC Manager and the Compliance Team to coordinate specific areas for focus and targeted review to ensure corrective actions and findings found during audit, agency or regulatory examinations are addressed in a timely manner.
Support maintaining quality control procedures to monitor and measure the quality of any third-party quality control vendor engaged by the company.
You will be provided with access to monitor updates in underwriting guidelines including appraisal requirements, investor overlays, and regulatory changes to remain informed
Research, track and implement new or updated private investor or agency guidelines in a timely manner.
Other tasks as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Will consider high school or equivalent if candidate possesses applicable quality control experience.
A minimum of 3-5 years of recent quality control or underwriting and closing experience in the mortgage banking industry. Experience in multiple client environments is highly preferred
Must have underwriting experience in conventional, government, and consumer mortgage loans, including experience understanding DU and LP findings
Must have knowledge of federal and state compliance requirements and origination, underwriting, closing and quality control requirements for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD/FHA, VA, and USDA.
Strong working knowledge of mortgage loan production and associated operational requirements.
Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
